we had an amazing time at the Mermaid Retreat. My mom, sister and I would have give more than 5 stars if that was possible ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The hosts have definitely made this beautiful home very welcoming and Guest friendly. They have truly thought of everything and we felt right at home from the moment we got there. We didn't want to leave the beautiful, peaceful palace! 🌴🌊😎 We will keep this on our ❤️ List for future bookings.

If you are planning delicious outdoor group dinners by the water, this place is definitely the one you should rent. Great outside kitchen, plenty of counter top, ice making machine, large sink, induction stove top and gas grill to name just a few. There is plenty of pots and pan along with glasses and dishes to cook practically anything. The fire pit surrounded by 5 Adirondack chairs is also a nice touch for s’mores before going to bed. I would recommend this place to my friends.

Everything was lovely. The house has so much to enjoy. The attention to detail was exceptional! They left everything ready to go for us upon arrival. Bikes, jacuzzi, toys for the kids, even fishing stuff to fish. Not to mention the paddle boat and kayaks. The neighborhood is calm and peaceful. We truly enjoyed our stay at The Happy Mermaid Retreat! The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The flowers and snacks were such a thoughtful touch and made us feel welcome right away. We especially loved being so close to Weeki Wachee and other local attractions, which made exploring the area so easy and fun. The waterfront views were beautiful, and we appreciated the relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. We would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing time. We came here to celebrate my nephews 17th birthday - he wanted to kyak and be on the river and this place was perfect. Very peaceful, not a lot of river traffic - so it felt safe to let the kids kyak around. The hot tub was my favorite! Judith was very responsive with any questions we had. The instructions were very detailed so it was easy to get in and we knew what was expected of us during check out!

This was the most thoughtfully designed and well-maintained property we’ve ever stayed at on vacation. It’s clear that every little detail was carefully considered—nothing was missing. Judith is a wonderful host, and it’s obvious that providing a great experience for her guests is truly important to her. The place is beautifully decorated, incredibly well-equipped, and has a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet—perfect for enjoying a morning coffee on the porch, taking the kayak out for an afternoon paddle, or relaxing by the firepit in the evening. Compared to Weeki Wachee Gardens, the area feels quieter and less touristy, yet there are still plenty of options for dining out.

This house and host deserve every 5 star review they get. The house was clean, beautiful location, roomy and they didn’t overlook one detail. Don’t hesitate to book this property. Bonus was the downstairs room like a little efficiency or mother n law suite. It worked well for me with my son and daughter. The girls stayed in the main house and my son stayed downstairs. Everyone slept great and the beds were comfy and clean. Loved it. Will rebook and will recommend highly. Judith was also very responsive! Thank you !!

The home was exactly as shown in the pictures but better in person! The downstairs 3rd bedroom/little apartment was perfect for my 21 year old son to have his own space. The entire place had everything you would want and need as well as a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood. This was our favorite Air BnB in the 7 years we have been coming to this area and we will definitely be back next year!

I have been many places and I highly recommend this for a short getaway or a long getaway. We only stayed one night to explore the area but we really enjoyed the house and had absolutely 0 issues which is very hard to find when traveling sometimes. We had a stress free very easy check in and was happy to come back to a clean/ very nice home after a long day at the springs. If you are traveling with a large family or friends this is a great place for that as well as there is down floor level and upstairs level that are both extremely comfortable. I loved and appreciated how big the TVS were. The beds were very comfortable as well. All in all I can say 5 star review and highly recommend for anyone

This beautiful property has everything you need for a stay on Hernando Beach. Very nicely coastally decorated and immaculate. There was even snacks and coffee in the kitchen for an added touch. The mermaid retreat was a wonderful home away from home. The amenities on sight - the ice maker, hot tub, bikes, and kayaks were a wonderful perk. The small supply of snacks and coffee to utilize the coffee maker were also awesome! The retreat feels far away from clamor and city life but it’s just the right distance away from local places to eat and the Weeki Wachee springs. This place was really a gem, my only regret was not booking more time to leisure at the house and enjoy biking and kayaking the local waterways. It was a perfect stay for my wife and I but would be comfortable with friends or a larger family.

We had an amazing time at Judith’s place. The place was fully stocked with all we could need and tons out outdoor seating. The hot tub is great (only fits 3 people though) and there’s a large grill you can use. I had never been to this area before but my friends and I had such a wonderful time, it’s a great place to have a peaceful getaway. There were kayaks to go in the canal out back, but we didn’t have time to use them. All of the neighbors were super nice and helpful. Judith was very responsive and answered all my questions right away and even updated pictures on the listing for me. The house next door is under construction, but other than that the backyard views are amazing, especially at sunset. The only thing I would mention are two of the bedrooms are upstairs and one is downstairs (appear to be separate functioning units), so if you have a large party the group will be split up a bit. We will definitely be back again!
